وَمَا نُرۡسِلُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَۖ فَمَنۡ ءَامَنَ وَأَصۡلَحَ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
(48) We send Messengers as nothing but bearers of glad tidings and warners[1362]; whoever Believes and mends ˹their ways˺ then they should not fear nor need they grieve[1363],
[1362] This explains plainly that God sends human Messengers for specific purposes, whereby they come to deliver the Message they were entrusted with, but are not to be toyed with. (Ibn ʿĀshūr)
[1363] Those who come to embrace Faith in all sincerity are given assurance against future Punishment; they should not be saddened over their previous rebellious actions. (al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Saʿdī)
