ការបកប្រែអត្ថន័យ អាយ៉ាត់ 77 ជំពូក​ អាន់នីសាក - ការបកប្រែជាភាសាអង់គ្លេស - បណ្ឌិត វ៉ាលីទព្លីហាស្ហ អូម៉ើរី - កំពុងដំណើរការលើវា - សព្វវចនាធិប្បាយនៃគម្ពីគួរអាន

77 : 4

أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمۡ كُفُّوٓاْ أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَخۡشَوۡنَ ٱلنَّاسَ كَخَشۡيَةِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡ أَشَدَّ خَشۡيَةٗۚ وَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبۡتَ عَلَيۡنَا ٱلۡقِتَالَ لَوۡلَآ أَخَّرۡتَنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ قَرِيبٖۗ قُلۡ مَتَٰعُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا قَلِيلٞ وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لِّمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَلَا تُظۡلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا

(77) Have you ˹Muhammad˺ not seen those to whom it was said: “Hold back your hands^[921], keep up the Prayer and give out the prescribed alms”; and when fighting was prescribed for them, a party of them feared people as much as Allah is feared or even more. They said: “Our Lord, why did You prescribe fighting for us? Would You not delay it for a short while?” Say ˹Muhammad˺: “The enjoyment of the worldly life is ˹but so˺ little. But the Hereafter is better for the Mindful; you will not be wronged ˹even by the measure of ˺ a hair on a date seed”.

[921] At the beginning thay were asked to refrain from fighting their Denying enemies (cf. al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Saʿdī). Because they were not ready or in possession of the means to so prevail, they were asked instead to first engage in a self disciplinary regime to prevail over their own weaknesses, by keeping up Prayers and dutifully giving out the prescribed alms.
