أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحُكۡمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَۚ فَإِن يَكۡفُرۡ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدۡ وَكَّلۡنَا بِهَا قَوۡمٗا لَّيۡسُواْ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ
(89) Those are the ones to whom We gave the Book, judiciousness[1421] and Prophethood; but if these ˹Makkans˺[1422] Deny them, then We have entrusted them to others who would never Deny them[1423].
[1421] The proper and deep understanding of the Scriptures with which to guide people and judge among them (cf. al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr).
